Evaluation: Question 7
From the preliminary task my group and I have learnt and improved a lot of things. When writing the script for the stories we always referred to our ideal target audience and what they may want it to sound like. When recording we made sure that the microphone was at a suitable level and found a suitable place to record all the presenter and indoor reporters parts, so that the recording wasn't disturbed by background noise. We were able to edit it a lot better, as before people noted that our volume wasn't consistent throughout the preliminary task and not all the audio clips flowed smoothly; therefore we faded the audio in and out and adjusted the volume of certain parts to sound more fluent. I have learnt a lot from the progression of the preliminary task to our final piece; especially in the use of certain technologies, I am more confident in using audacity and other editing programs. I have also learnt that the quality of an IPhone recording device is just as good as the specialist recording devices; therefore my group was able to record professional quality audio, quickly. However I feel that if given time to do this again I would still change some parts. For instance, we should be more aware of our time scale as were not able to include certain presenter parts (signposting); this meant that the bulletin didn't flow as well as I'd hoped. I would have liked to get our presenter to say "Thanks Jess, now on to our local news" and "Time for sports" so that the groups of stories were broken up but also flowing from one to another. Overall I feel that we have improved a lot from our preliminary task to our final piece in all aspects of the creation of a news bulletin.

Some good final thoughts here, particularly on what you would like to change given the opportunity. Well done!
